We have over 300kgs in Bumpers Plenty of Room to swing KB's and Cats and Dogs if needed.
There are now 2 lifting 'runways,' 3 Eleiko Bars, plus another 7 of descent quality. 2 concept 2's etc.
We have and are investing on improving the level of service we can offer, including 3 classes a day and open gym facilities.
We're happy to for anyone to come down and have a free class, all we ask is that you give us a head before via email.

They have more floor space and a few more pull up/kipping bars and pretty much everything else you need there.
Only problem is that its getting too busy!

I’m a member at TS2 and they have improved their facilities further so you may want to check it out again. I'm aware of Crossfit Swansea, actually I nearly came to your opening event with Fozzie and Dom etc from Manchester, but personal circumstances didn't really allow. It's a bit too far for me to travel on a week night (I'm only in Newport during the week), but maybe I could pop over once before my contract in Cardiff finishes. When are your evening classes?

Hi Matt, thanks for the invite.

I’m aware of Crossfit Swansea, actually I nearly came to your opening event with Fozzie and Dom etc from Manchester, but personal circumstances didn’t really allow. Crossfit.com follows a 3 on, 1 off, schedule. However personally that doesn't fit with my schedule (7 days in the week and all that), so the next preferred routine is 5 on, 2 off. Personally I train 4 times a week, in pairs.
Unless the WODs are specified for a max lift, then yes, they are all done for time. HOWEVER safety and good form is paramount. If your form is failing, then slow down / take a few seconds breather, sufficient to return to good form before continuing.
Crossfit is not a weightloss program. Nor is it a body building (i.e. big muscle) program. Crossfit will make you stronger, fitter and faster. And, if you also follow the recommended diet, you will lose fat. Function over form and all that.
Whilst you're very welcome to, watching me isn't going to be all that instructive (Crossfit wise) for a while. Starting this week, I'm following a 9 week Hungarian weightlifting program. It will be all Olympic lifts (or bits of) and strength work. This is not a Crossfit thing, it's a personal sport thing.
I'll email you my number.

No worries Mark, ask away.

Crossfit.com follows a 3 on, 1 off, schedule. isPermaLink="false">http://www.colinmcnulty.com/blog/?p=600#comment-2765

Ok ... here's the dumb question bit:
Frequency. How often does a person train in the Crossfit programme? Is it akin to 'normal' routines, performed 3-4 times a week? More? Less?
When going through the WOD, is the aim to complete it asap and then that's it, session over?
Maybe glaringly obvious to folks reading this, but the way I see it is that there are far more folks thinking the same questions as myself, but less inclined to ask for fear of seeming of bit of a numpty.
Last question, I promise ... fat burning and lean muscle mass - is Crossfit effective at producing both?
Right, that's me done for tonight. Oh yes, your training schedule times might clash with my work diary, depending how many folks I have booked in on those particular days, but if I can, and you have no objection, I would be very grateful to pop down and observe your session and possibly hit you with a few more questions thereafter.
All the best, and thanks for your patience.

Ok … here’s the dumb question bit:

Frequency. Aspire Fitness charge a competitive £29.50 per month, depending on how long you sign up for. More if for a shorter time I think. They don't do any classes specific to Crossfit, but they have pretty much 90% of the kit you need to do Crossfit stuff there. And the denizens there have become relatively accustomed to seeing me near kill myself on a regular basis. ;)
I did meet a guy called Dav who was running a Saturday Crossfit class out of TS2. If you're interested, I could email you his phone number?
Failing that, if you do join Aspire, I don't mind giving you some pointers if you're around the same time I am, which is normally 16:30 - 18:30ish on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Although I am going to be following a specific olympic weightlifting program for the next 2 months, in preparation for the Northern Open championships in Nov. But that doesn't mean I can't help you out, which I'd happily do.

No worries Mark, I’m happy to help if I can.

Aspire Fitness charge a competitive £29.50 per month, depending on how long you sign up for.
