{"id":2860,"date":"2012-10-28T19:45:11","date_gmt":"2012-10-28T19:45:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/?p=2860"},"modified":"2012-10-28T19:47:22","modified_gmt":"2012-10-28T19:47:22","slug":"why-i-love-teaching-self-defence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/28\/why-i-love-teaching-self-defence\/","title":{"rendered":"Why I Love Teaching Self Defence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I love teaching <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tonyblauer.com\/\">Tony Blauer&#8217;s<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/pdrteam.com\/\">Personal Defense Readiness<\/a> self defence to people through <a title=\"Manchester Self Defence Classes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pdrmanchester.com\/\">PDR Manchester<\/a>, and this proves why: I&#8217;ve just collated the feedback forms from the Home Ed kids and parents course I ran a few weeks ago, here are the average scores from 8 feedback forms returned:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Confidence Increase: 271%<\/strong> <em>&lt;&#8211; That is huge!<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Course Content score: 9.6 \/ 10<\/li>\n<li>Course Value score: 9.9<\/li>\n<li>Coach&#8217;s score: 10.0 <em>*blush*<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And to go with it, here are some of the comments:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>&#8220;It has greatly increased my confidence. I was nervous but Colin was an excellent tutor and made everyone feel at ease. I never would have dreamed in a million years that myself and girls would willingly participate in this, so <strong>I&#8217;m extremely proud of us<\/strong>. It could have been very scary, tackling a man, in that intimidating suit and in front of an audience as well, but Colin made everyone feel at ease. I think the class was very empowering too.
