{"id":457,"date":"2009-03-10T22:05:04","date_gmt":"2009-03-10T22:05:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/?p=457"},"modified":"2009-03-10T22:05:04","modified_gmt":"2009-03-10T22:05:04","slug":"bad-shoulder-no-lifting-this-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2009\/03\/10\/bad-shoulder-no-lifting-this-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Bad Shoulder = No Lifting This Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am officially cursed.<\/p>\n<p>Before the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/16\/northern-masters-champion-2009\/\">Northern Masters<\/a> back in Feb, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/04\/northern-masters-on-saturday\/\">I did my back in<\/a>.  Then the gym in Cardiff <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/18\/workout-update\/\">retired their broken bumpers<\/a> making it virtually impossible to train.  Now, just before the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colinmcnulty.com\/blog\/2009\/02\/26\/training-for-the-british-masters-weightlifting-championships\/\">BWLA Masters Weightlifting Championships<\/a> this Saturday, I&#8217;ve hurt my shoulder and have been unable to train for a week.  Marvellous!<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, there&#8217;s no hope of me winning anyway, but it would have been nice not to have bombed out.  I have to open at 70kg Snatch and 95kg Clean and Jerk, which are at the edge of what I can do on a good day.  I&#8217;ve only got the 70kg snatch 3 out of about 35 attempts in practice this month for example, which is a shambles really.<\/p>\n<p>Still, I&#8217;m off to sunny Lilleshall National Sports Centre, near Newport in Shropshire (not Newport Gwent where I&#8217;m going from!) early on Saturday morning with a smile on my face and a skip in my step.
