Happy New Year

I’ve had a few weeks off the blog over xmas and the new year. It’s strangely refreshing to take a break from the blog, but now that the new year is here, it’s time to resume with a quick catchup.  In the last 2 weeks I’ve:

  • Discovered suggestion that BWLA appear to have upped the qualifying requirements for all Masters weights, which would be very bad for me!
  • Been down to Newport and Cardiff, looking for a place to live whilst working for my new client.
  • Looking for a gym in Newport or Cardiff that has olympic weightlifting facilities.
  • Stayed in the best Bed and Breakfast ever: The Hill House, Howle Hill in Ross-on-Wye.
  • Taught my daughter to dive.
  • Eaten and drunk far too much.
  • Replayed through most of KOTOR2, one of the best PC games ever.

And now I have to pack as I’m off to Newport later today.

A happy new year to you too.

Good luck with finding a gym down there.

I’m glad you’ve eaten and drunk far too much, I have too!

Seems like we are the only two fellas that have done this which I find somewhat suspicious.

As for retro PC gaming, I’ve been playing deus ex.

Damn it, even higher qualifying numbers. One of my goals for the year was to be up in the qualification range, now it just got harder.

LOL, Seems to be a retro gaming Christmas. I (re)built a Pentium to run Windows 98 just so I could play through Wing Commander III and IV again and also picked up Duke Nukem 3 on XBOX Live. Happy memories.

    Happy New Year.

    Happy New Year Col,

Who knows mate I might be joining you in South Wales if they need any STAs 🙂

My favourite old PC game has to be Civilisation, although Deus Ex was also a great game… over Chrimbo I’ve been playing Tomb Raider : Underworld and Call of Duty : World at War.

Also for some reason my girlfriend is MUCH better than me at Wii Sports… This is very annoying as she can’t play Golf or Bowling in real life… 😉

Civ 4 was (and is) excellent too, just takes forever to play. It does have a multiplayer play by email option though… 😮 Xmas is for booze, food and games after all.
